ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARADE 2006

The Humane Society fielded a number of well-behaved dogs for their colorful entry in the Pagosa Springs Chamber St. Patrick's Day Parade. For several years Pat & Jim Carey have volunteered to chair the Humane Society participation. Pat used her artistic flair to design and paint dogs and cats on blue board. The Carey's oversaw the decorations of the float with a host of volunteers pitching in. Dogs were washed and groomed the day of the parade in hopes of putting their best paws forward to be noticed and possibly find a new home. All the hard work of the Carey's and volunteers paid off when the Humane Society float was awarded "First Place for Best Float!" Thank you to the Carey's and all the volunteers who helped.
